Since 2014, Mission Manduhai has pledged to fund a hotline for victims of abuse. One of Mission Manduhai’s hurdles is a government that does not see domestic abuse as a problem. After the first mission was completed and thousands of flyers were handed out with a phone number to a help line, the government changed the phone number, so people weren’t able to use the information that was given out. Mission Manduhai realized that having an independent line dedicated to helping victims is of utmost importance, so we helped establish this hotline through the National Center Against Violence. Here is the first report, with versions in English and Mongolian, detailing how successful the hotline has been in its first year:
